Tokyo Game Show 2008, day 1... or not!

So, we're off to the game show today! Easiest way seems to be to take the free shuttle back to the airport and then buy a bus ticket to a hotel 2 blocks away from the convention center. We catch the free bus no problem and are at the airport by 12:30p. Just missed the 12:35p bus to the convention center, but still decide to head down and buy a ticket for the next one. Next bus to convention center was not for another 2 hours! Dang, 2 hours to kill at the airport and then a 50 minute ride from the airport to the show. Well, since the expo floor closes at 5pm that day, we decide that getting there around 3p is just not enough time to justify the $40 round trip tix for us both to get there! OK, so we'll stake out some lockers at the airport to stash our bags tomorrow and return really early in the AM to do the trip then.

Anita: Alright, let's catch the free shuttle back to the hotel and then take another local free bus to the local mall to check it out. Marc: good idea. On our way back to the bus stop, Anita finds some grape KitKat:

Not feeling quite into that at the moment, we settle for some pocky instead. Marc tries a mystery drink out of a vending machine and scores with some chocolate milk! So we get back to the bus stop and kick the hacky-sack around for a while waiting for the bus. After about 45 min, we're starting to get better.

Hmmn, 45 min, where's that bus?

Anita: let me try to read that schedule again. Uh-oh, this bus doesn't start running again till 4:30p! Marc: OMGWTF! We have another 3 and a half hours to wait at the airport?!?! Anita: hhahaha, just kidding, the next one arrives in 5 min.
